Welcome to the second part of this very interesting series of blogs, where we are telling you some interesting facts about Umrah. In the first part, we talked about the circumambulation of Kaaba being older than Islam, the present form of Umrah and Umrah in relation to our beloved Prophet Rasulallah (SAW).
In this second part of the blog, we are going to tell you some more interesting facts about Umrah. Being a Muslim, you are going to feel absolutely blessed about knowing these things, which the M G Tours and Travels will be sharing with you.
The Guests of Allah. We at M G Tours and Travels often use that term while we advertise our Umrah packages, here in Anantnag and the adjoining areas of South Kashmir. Why do we do that?
The Kaaba is known as Allah’s house, and obviously, people visiting the house are guests. So anyone performing an Umrah is Allah’s guest and should be treated likewise. This is something that keeps us inspired and motivated at M G Tours and Travels to serve even better.
There are certain important things that need to be done once you have embarked on the blessed journey called Umrah. The first and foremost is the fact that one cannot perform Umrah wearing ordinary clothes!
You have to wear an Ihram while you are performing the Umrah. What is Ihram, is the question, no? Ihram is a state, that pilgrims enter before performing Umrah or Hajj. Entering this state requires certain cleansing and wearing a two-piece, unstitched white cloth.
For men, the clothing of Ihram leaves certain parts of his body exposed, while for women only their face and hands should remain not covered by the Ihram. One has to enter the state of Ihram at a certain place, before starting the journey of Umrah, called Miqat.
There are five Miqats where a pilgrim can enter the state of Ihram. The five Miqat’s include Yalamlam or al-Sadiah, Dhat Irq, Al-Juhfah or Rabigh, Qarn al-Manazil or Al-Sayl, and Al-Juhfah or Rabigh.
With this information, this second part of the series of blogs comes to an end. In the subsequent part(s), we are going to share some more interesting facts and information about Umrah with you.
And while we share this information with you, M G Tours and Travels has been successfully sending one group of pilgrims after another to perform Umrah during the blessed month of Ramadhan.
