Some interesting facts about Umrah! (Part-1)

M G Tours and Travels has been one of the first Hajj and Umrah service providers in the south Kashmir region, particularly the Anantnag district. For over a decade now, we have had the good fortune of taking along hundreds of pilgrims for Hajj as well as Umrah.

There are certain things we have learned about these blessed journey’s in the course of the decade we have been providing these services to the people of Anantnag and elsewhere in South Kashmir.

We keep sharing such things with you through our social media channels or this space here. Today, through this blog, we will be sharing some interesting aspects or facts regarding Umrah.

You will love to have known all these things, and being a Muslim, you will feel absolutely thrilled and blessed to know these interesting facts.

Circumambulating the Kaa’ba is the pivot of the holy journey. But do you know that the act of circumambulating Kaab’a was carried out by people even before Islam came into existence through our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?

Given the fact that the Arab world has been the home to all Abrahamic religions, Kaab’a has been a revered site for other religions as well.

But who made Kaab’a? It is believed that the Holy Kaab’a was first built by Hazrat-e-Adam. Hazrat-e-Ibrahim and Hazrat-e-Ismail are other prophets, may Allah be pleased with them, who are believed to have re-constructed the Holy Kaab’a during their time.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was the first to perform Umrah in its present form. During his lifetime, the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has performed Umrah four times.

The best of the Umrah’s is considered to be the one performed during the Holy month of Ramadhan. As Rasulallah (SAW) has said, performing an Umrah during Ramadhan is equivalent to having performed a Hajj.

MG Tours and Travels has sent multiple groups of people this Ramadhan, from Anantnag and many other parts of South Kashmir, to perform Umrah. They have returned thankful and blissful. We will be sending further Umrah groups after Eid and the next Ramadhan as well, In Sha Allah.

There are many other interesting facts about Umrah, and through the subsequent parts of this blog, we will be sharing these facts with you. In case you have any questions, feel free to contact us through our social media handles.
