Common mistakes committed during Umrah – Part 2

In the first part of the blog we, the M G Tours and Travels of Anantnag, talked in detail about the two most common mistakes people tend to commit while performing the Umrah. We talked about the change in Niyyah and the changing of Ihram clothes.

In this second part of the blog, we intend to clear some more misconceptions that are encountered by people during Umrah. The intent is to make the pilgrims well aware of all the finer details regarding Umrah even before they embark on the blessed journey.

Innovation is a forbidden thing in Islam and we have always been told to stay away from innovating things. One such innovation is Wiping or Kissing parts of Kaab’a – other than the Black Stone and the Yemeni corner.

Many people believe that wiping or kissing parts of Kaab’a brings blessings and good luck, which is not true. There are no Ahadees or any proof that our beloved Prophet Rasulullah (SAW) did the same.

The only two parts of Kaab’a the blessed Prophet (SAW) used to kiss were the Hajra-e-Aswad and the Yemini corner. Do stay away from any innovations while you are on the blessed pilgrimage.

Another wide misconception is performing multiple Umrah’s. Some people rush back to Masjid Ta’neem or Meeqat to assume Ihram again and perform yet another Umrah. This is another innovation and should not be propagated or performed.

To gain maximum rewards, we have been told to perform as many Tawafs as possible and not multiple Umrah’s. So, instead of performing multiple Umrah’s, focus on the number of Tawafs.

We will talk about some more misconceptions in the upcoming parts of this blog. Apart from this, M G Tours and Travels always conducts an in-person training program for the guests of Allah.

You can clear your misconceptions by attending any of these training sessions, as we keep them open for all. You can also reach us through our customer care number and/or our social media handles. We will be absolutely delighted to help!
