Common mistakes committed during Umrah – Part 1
For over a decade now, M G Tours and Travels has been providing the best Umrah and Hajj packages to the people here in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir and beyond. Over the years, we have passed the do’s and dont’s to the pilgrims through in-person training schedules.
Times have changed. Almost everyone is tech-savvy now and we believe that the people who intend to embark on the blessed journey do look up online the guidelines on conducting a Hajj or an Umrah in the prescribed manner.
This series of blogs is intended for such people. In this multi-part series, we at M G Tours and Travels will get you acquainted with the common mistakes that are committed by the pilgrims during an Umrah.
This is the first part of the series and we will begin this blog with the first and the foremost requirement for an Umrah, which is making the Niyyah, or the intention. This is the most important part of the Umrah and Allah (SWT) rewards us for the deeds as per our niyyah or the intention.
Where is the mistake then, you must be thinking! The mistake is often committed when we change the niyyah or the intention. It is important to know if we can change the niyyah and if we can how and when can it be changed.
The niyyah can be changed, as it is made. And it needs to be changed before the Ihram is assumed. If someone changes the niyyah after the Ihram is assumed, they can change it from Mufradah to Tamattu and not the other way round.
There is a common, basic mistake committed by many people during the Umrah and it is related to Ihram. Some people think that changing the Ihram clothes might disturb the state of their Ihram, which is not true at all.
We must change the Ihram clothes given that the white clothes get dirty easier and amid the sultry weather in Saudi Arabia it gets all the more necessary to change. The state of Ihram will not be disturbed!
The blog comes to an end here, after we have talked about the changing of niyyah and the change of Ihram clothes, in detail. We assume you will have your doubts clear by now.
However, if you have any more questions regarding these two issues, you can call us on our customer relations number or reach us through our social media handles. We will love to address your misconceptions or doubts, regardless of whether you are from Anantnag or any other part of the Kashmir valley.
We are here to help and we will love to help the guests of Allah.
